The company had filed a case towards the group for separatist and secessionist actions
The Nationwide Investigation Company (NIA) raided 17 locations in seven districts of J&Ok on Wednesday in a case associated to the Jamaat-e-Islami’s (JeI) position in funding terror within the Union Territory. “Searches had been performed immediately on the premises of office-bearers and members of the JeI. Through the searches, numerous incriminating paperwork and digital gadgets had been seized,” an NIA spokesman stated. Searches had been made at areas in Anantnag, Kulgam, Ganderbal, Bandipora, Budgam, Kishtwar and Jammu districts.
A case was registered by the NIA on February 5, 2021 in reference to separatist and secessionist actions of the JeI, a socio-religious group that was banned beneath the UA(P) Act on February 28, 2019.
Based on the NIA, the members of the organisation have been accumulating funds domestically and overseas, “that are getting used for violent and secessionist actions”.
“The JeI has additionally been motivating impressionable youth of Kashmir and recruiting new members in J&Ok to take part in disruptive secessionist actions,” he added.
